Welcome to Stephs world!
You’ve arrived at one of the Feedspot Top 35 U.K. Mental Health websites, as selected by their panel in 2022! I’m very happy to be there!
Hi. I’m Steph and I’m a writer and illustrator specialising in Mental Health, Mental Illnesses and Grief, based in South East UK. I’m also proud to be the ‘Creative Volunteer and Mental Health Advocate‘ for Cruse (South East) – the UK’s bereavement support charity.
On this website you’ll find links, pages and posts all dedicated to my hobbies both writing and drawing as well as my thoughts on hidden disabilities, Mental Illness and being a self-confessed Spoonie – all subjects I have (too much) experience with. This site has pledged and been accepted to the Mental Health Media Charter, confirming that the advice and information given is carefully thought out and considered before it’s posted.
I try to shine a light on the parts of Mental Ill-Health and Grief that are still very misunderstood or hidden using my own thoughts, symptoms and experiences, and make it clear that ‘it’s ok not to be ok’.
Any longlisted, shortlisted and winning writing I do is added to My Creative Blog, along with my own illustrations of anything I feel like challenging myself with.
Thank you for visiting! I hope you like my work!
