My first children’s book illustrations

It has long been a fantasy of mine to write, illustrate and publish my own children’s book, so I’ve put pen to paper and started getting all the stories in my head written down.

My first board book is going to be about a bee called Bumble and the adventure he goes on at night. There will be rhyming elements to the book and hopefully some pictures to keep children interested.

I have my first draft of the book written, and I’ve started working on my book cover and back too, so I thought I would post them here.

The design has been completed in Procreate and it’s still at first draft stage, but I’m happy with how it’s coming along so far. However I’m struggling to pick the colours of the background and I’ve had all sorts of advice from different people saying different things.

What do you think?
