Flash fiction and short stories

Last week I started my foray into the world of fiction writing competitions.

I’ve been writing for some time now as more of a hobby, but I’d never entertained the idea of entering competitions until now.

I’ve entered a few with various genres including dark thoughts, using the word ‘revealed’ and romance. It’s been a lot of fun writing them and quite nervy submitting them for appraisal.

If, by some miracle, I manage to get any positive feedback I’ll post the stories here for everyone to see. I understand some people write one story and enter it in to multiple competitions. I’m happier writing a different entry for each one, but that means I have to get my creative juices flowing…and it’s not always easy.

Anyway, if and when I do get any responses I’ll be sure to let you all know. As a bit of fun I sketched this quick drawing in Procreate this weekend – I needed a break from the writing!
