More light work – strawberry!

I gave myself a new challenge to draw something light again.

After my previous work – the splash – I wanted to continue using a bright colour palette and keep trying to draw new things.

So this time I tried a strawberry. A big juicy, shiny strawberry.

The detail of all the pips was so time consuming. I wanted to make the strawberry as realistic as I could manage. It literally took days to get to this point, but I feel like everything I do now is just pointless polishing.

I’m really pleased with how it turned out. Of course I had to include a drip of water on the side as well.

Let me know what you think of my latest piece. I’m not sure what I’m going to do next, possibly some more fruit.

Thanks for looking! I’ll be back with something new in a few days.
