Haiku Hope Part 14 – Degree

Welcome to another in my series of Haikus.

This time I’m using my experiences as a student nearing the end of her degree (year 5 of 6 is now well underway) and the stresses of managing study with life in general.

I’ve missed these Haikus – over the festive period I focussed on a series of Weird Words that were Christmas themed. Saying that, taking a break has given me some ideas for my next poems and haikus, so more will be coming soon.

Anyway, I hope you like this one.

Degree

Read this, watch that, yawn.
Brain fried, eyes drawn, Must stop now.
Ok. Just one more.

**********

No matter how hard I try, somehow my brain thinks there’s space to learn more even in the twilight hours.

I am exhausted anyway, so learning is nigh-on impossible, but I always feel like I’m behind and ‘when you’re in the zone it’s good to stay in the zone’. I may have to stop listening to these pithy study phrases.

Thanks for reading. 💜💜
