Crap poem 23 – Why Bother?

Welcome to another crap poem, this time a rhyming poem focussing on our feelings and how we manage them.

Why Bother came to me pretty quickly, but it’s taken me a while to post after a lot of changes.

I hope you like it!

Why bother?

When day and night don’t give you rest

When every task becomes a test

When you don’t feel heat from direct sun

When every day melts in to one

When silence is so clearly loud

When you crave some softness like a cloud

When empathy is running dry

When you ask for answers from the sky

When waking up takes all your might

When arguments aren’t worth the fight

When love that’s offered isn’t felt

When compliments seem never dealt

When grey exists in every thing

When you want so much your phone to ring

When hobbies start to lose their joy

When nothing’s left to now destroy

When laughter starts behind a frown

When life has been turned upside down

When all you do is wake and sleep

When emotion feels so very deep

Say these things to someone now

Let them know the why and how

Don’t be quiet, you’re not alone

Welcome a friend into your home

We all need help from time to time

Voicing your pain is not a crime

It’s critical you feel expressed

And avoid becoming more depressed
