Haiku hope 21 – Rest

Hello everyone and welcome to my 21st haiku hope.

These 15 words were put together on a day when I just couldn’t get relief from pain, and I’d been left in tears as a result.

Chronic pain often feels infinite. It wakes you up, stops you drifting off and limits the things you’d like to do every day.

In the name of the phrase, ‘no peace for the wicked‘ I wrote this.

**********

Rest

I don’t feel wicked

But there’s zero rest for me

Bones ache ‘til I drop

**********

Thanks for reading 💜
