Crap poem 51 – The Break

Hello everyone and welcome to my 51st crap poem.

Although much of my content lately has been Christmas centred, today I’m posting a poem about the essence of breaks, in all their forms.

Remember, if you’re looking for a distraction or something silly to make you smile, I have dedicated pages of crap poems, silly jokes and haikus written specifically for this purpose. And for mental health support I have a page of regularly updated contact details of organisations and charities that can help. Talking might seem hard, but it’s the start of the road to recovery, and the people who offer support often make it easy to open up and talk about the next steps.

Anyway, here’s the poem. Have a lovely day!

The Break

What is this break

Within my hair?

Just more split ends

It’s lost its flair

But what’s a break

While I’m at work?

Just time away

From the office jerk

So what’s a break

In summertime?

Just sandy fun

While weathers fine.

And what’s a break

During tv?

Just stretching arms

And brewing tea.

Hey what’s that brake

Inside your car?

Just slowing down

Not going far.

Oh what’s her break

Within her hip?

Replace the joint

Bionic trip!

D’you hear that break

During the news?

Who’s right, who’s wrong?

I’m still confused.

Was that a break?

Did downpour end?

The flood is high,

So who’ll defend?

A record break!

Such mental strength!

Only a few

On this wavelength.

Did his voice break

at just thirteen?

Just hearts to crack

and poor hygiene.

Now what’s this break

Within my heart?

It begs an end

To time apart.

What is this life

Without such breaks?

No soul to crash

No earth to quake.

Next time you break

Take time to feel.

Such breaking pain

Just makes you real.
